Dash Bio has raised $30 million in Series A funding to expand its automated bioanalysis platform and support the growing demand from pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The funding brings the company’s total capital raised to $47.5 million.

Oak HC/FT Leads the Investment Round

The Series A round was led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from existing investors Freestyle Capital and Swift Ventures.

Dash Bio is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, and provides automated bioanalytical testing services that help drug developers generate high-quality data more efficiently. The company combines robotics, laboratory automation, and proprietary software to improve the speed and consistency of bioanalysis during drug development.

Helping Drug Developers Move Faster

Bioanalysis plays a critical role in drug development because it measures how medicines behave in biological samples. The quality and speed of this work directly affect research timelines.

Dash Bio has built an automated platform that supports a wide range of bioanalytical workflows. Its services include ELISA, MSD, qPCR, ddPCR, and LC-MS testing, allowing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to complete studies with greater efficiency.

The company operates a 24,000-square-foot Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) laboratory, where automation and software help streamline laboratory operations while maintaining high scientific standards.

According to Dash Bio, its platform can return preclinical sample results in days instead of months, helping customers reduce delays during the drug development process.

Growing Customer Demand

Dash Bio says it now serves more than 30 customers, including four of the world’s top 15 pharmaceutical companies. The company has seen increasing demand from organizations looking for faster and more scalable bioanalytical testing solutions.

As drug development becomes more data-intensive, companies are seeking laboratory partners that can deliver accurate results while reducing turnaround times. Dash Bio’s automated approach is designed to meet those needs by improving laboratory efficiency without compromising data quality.

Funding Will Support Expansion

The company plans to use the new funding to expand its commercial operations, increase laboratory capacity, broaden its assay menu, enter additional testing categories, and continue developing its proprietary software platform.

These investments are expected to strengthen Dash Bio’s ability to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as they advance new therapies through preclinical and clinical development.

Looking Ahead

The successful Series A funding round represents a significant milestone for Dash Bio as it continues to expand its automated bioanalysis platform. With additional capital, expanded laboratory capabilities, and growing customer adoption, the company aims to help drug developers complete bioanalytical testing more efficiently and support faster progress in bringing new medicines to patients.
